Metricon New South Wales General Manager Patrick Eather says the company is “embedding all the new processes” on construction sites to ensure workers’ safety against COVID-19.

Mr Eather said these procedures include “site signage, amount of people that are working on site, checking on vaccinations where appropriate, checking on testing”.

“They’re being embedded into our current health and safety programs in line with what we’ve already done,” he told Sky News Australia.

He said there will be new signage going up to “indicate how many people are going to work on that site", and there will also be occupational health and safety officers who have “adopted the COVID marshal role”, to ensure everybody is compliant.

“We see it fitting very, very well into our current occ. health and safety programs and we’re working closely with WorkSafe NSW on how we will monitor and manage that going forward.” Construction sites 'embedding all the new processes' to ensure COVID safety
