FIRST AND LAST // A Short Documentary

Yoshi and I proudly present 'First and Last'. We've filmed a lot of stuff behind the scenes this year and put it together in this little documentary. The title comes from the fact that it was Niek's first year in Switzerland and Simon finished first in his first World Cup final. This year was special cause it was at the same time our last year in Switzerland, and for Yoshi even the last season of his BMX career.
Yoshi and I have been friends for a long time. We’re both into filming and editing. So when I moved to Switzerland it was a no brainer to document this year, that was likely to be special, regardless of the result.
We’ve filmed Yoshi’s, Simon’s and my year in preparation for Tokyo 2020 to try to give everyone a bit of a look behind the scenes, and just a document for our memories.
A special thanks to Liam Phillips for supporting us all year and letting us have fun and challenge ourselves off the track as well. Also thanks to our teammates: Zoë Claessens, Sae Hatakeyama and Einar Lindberg for letting us have cameras around all the time.
A massive thanks to Masahiro Sampei and Jay Schippers for additional filming and editing.
