79 Series Build - Styleside Tub & Canopy - The Bush Company

The original plan for this build was to go with a Norweld Australia flat tray due to their build quality and overall strength and then to build a custom canopy from scratch. But as is often the case, plans change and new ideas come into play, and in this case I decided to go with a full stylised Toyota factory tub and to put one of the awesome Rhino Cab Extreme Aluminium Canopies onto the tub.
The tub itself is something that we import for our customers direct from South Africa, so it was simply a matter of getting it colour coded to match the sandy taupe of the cab. For the Rhino cab canopy I chose to go with a solid aluminium rear door, partly for security, but also because I know that when finished with the interior build of the canopy I won't be able to see through the rear anyway. We had the styleside tub fully rubber lined before it was colour coded, and the flares were also colour coded to match the vehicle.
Now we can really get stuck into the touring and camping set up.
