Eagle Congregation at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge

Eagles congregated on the evening of September 10, 2021 at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge.

Communal roosting behavior like this occurs with non-breeding bald eagles in areas where eagles are densely populated. Rather than roosting individually, birds form communal roosts where they roost together within a small space.

I misspoke in the video, this is the Pool 3 nest area.
