
Man found shot to death inside car on Arch grounds

ST. LOUIS - An investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death inside a car on the grounds of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis early Tuesday morning.
Just before midnight, St. Louis police were called to Washington Avenue and 2nd Street for a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a car stuck in a concrete stairway. Inside, there was a man with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 5 On Your Side crew observed several bullet holes in the car including a few in the windshield.
Tuesday morning, park officials worked to clean debris left behind after the incident. They told 5 On Your Side the area will be marked off but it won’t impact the ability to visit the Arch.
