“We don’t accept the Time Limit Trick”

The Awá have a very simple message for Brazil’s Supreme Court, direct from the Amazon: “No to the Time Limit Trick!" If it’s approved it will be one of the biggest boosts to the indigenous genocide in Brazil since 1500. The Trick claims that indigenous peoples only have the rights to their lands if they were physically occupying it the day the Brazilian Constitution was signed on October 5th, 1988. Agribusiness in Brazil is behind it and pushing for it to get approved.
