
British Columbia flooding: Ministers provide update on federal response – November 21, 2021

At a news conference on Parliament Hill, federal ministers Bill Blair (emergency preparedness), Anita Anand (defence), Omar Alghabra (transport), Carla Qualtrough (employment), and Steven Guilbeault (environment and climate change) provide an update on the federal government’s response to the situation in British Columbia. The B.C. government has declared a state of emergency due to severe flooding in the southwestern part of the province. The ministers are joined at the news conference by General Wayne D. Eyre, the acting chief of the defence staff.
