Helena’s main academic background is in Psychology. She worked as research assistant at the Department of Personality Psychology focusing on Positive Psychology and tutored on behalf of the Department of Psychological Methods, Evaluation and Statistics. At the University Hospital of Psychiatry Zurich, Helena conducted a clinical internship and joined the Department of Neuropsychopharmacology and Brain Imaging to study the effects of psychedelics and meditation. As a doctoral student, she’s running an EEG-study on out-of-body-experiences and mood, works on the global ayahuasca project, and investigates pharmahuasca in interventional studies focusing on empathy and prosociality including neurophysiological, psychometric and phenomenological methods.
