Actress Natasha Thahane has come under fire after revealing she received funding from the department of Arts and Culture through Speaker of the National Assembly at the time, Baleka Mbete. The funds were for her tuition in 2017 when she was studying at the prestigious New York Film Academy. Social media was abuzz after the video surfaced and many had their opinions about the matter, most users saying that she not only revealed her privilege but also her failure to follow due process in obtaining funding from a government entity.
