Macron won't have a dime! France asked the UK to pay a bill of £6.7m for migrant checks because the demand was so great.
France has gone mad asking the UK to pay a £6.7m bill for migrant checks at Calais, the boss of the northern French port has demanded. I think that is the directive of Macron, who is a troublemaker and has many childish tricks.
Jean-Marc Puissesseau, who runs the Port of Calais, said now that Britain had left the EU, ministers in London should be prepared for checks on vehicles arriving in the UK. The head of the port says that his staff check 900,000 trucks a year coming to the UK. Mr Puissesseau told BFMTV: “I agree there should still be checks in Calais. "But I don't think we should pay them. The UK has left the EU." I think they should pay us the check. I can keep doing that with my own 200 employees. We spend 8 million euros a year.
