France: Yellow Vest protesters march against Macron policies in streets of Paris

Yellow Vest protesters took to the streets of Paris, on Saturday, for a weekly protest against the administration of French President Emmanuel Macron, which have been taking place since November 2018.

Protesters were seen peacefully marching amid a high presence of police in riot gear.

The protests, which were sparked in 2018 by the planned introduction of a fuel tax, have since become a general movement of discontent over the status quo. In recent months, it has also included Macron's handling of the coronavirus pandemic and the introduction of the health pass.
