Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warns hundreds of thousands of people are at risk. He alleges Russian forces planted mines at the power station in the southern region of Kherson and plan to blow it up.

In Belarus, the first of a nine-thousand-strong contingent of Russian troops has begun arriving. Minsk and Moscow have announced they're setting up a joint military unit to defend Belarusian borders.
The deployment comes after Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenko said his country was facing threats from both neighboring Ukraine and its western allies.
