Lack of proper media coverage in Alice Springs is a 'form of racism': Rita

Sky News host Rita Panahi says the “media” coverage of Alice Springs is lacklustre and is a “form of racism” with turning a blind eye for so long.
“So much of the media that loves covering what they see as divisive Australia day – where’s their coverage of what’s happening in Alice Springs – they just don’t cover it – these people are Australians, and they deserve to feel safe on their streets, safe in their homes,” Ms Panahi said.
“That to me is a form of racism – if this was happening in a white neighbourhood you can be sure it’d be covered.
“The media’s largely turned a blind eye, there’s a few segments that haven’t and they’ve finally shamed the Prime Minister into going up to Alice Springs for a few short hours.”
