Grizzly bear hunts the valley for a suitable mate.

This female grizzly had just recently despersed her two year old cub. She was wandering through an area looking for a suitable male. She was seen twice over the month of June in 2019, this being the normal time when mating takes place. But because she was an unknown backcountry bear rarely seen, there was no way to monitor her and know for sure if she indeed did mate. In 2020 she showed up yet again, this time with three little cubs following her. She was a bear that chose to avoid areas with lots of human activity but would be seen time to time. Great chance she will be once again booting her cubs this spring ( 2022) and returning to mating.
